There has been much speculation about the arrival of 2012, along with the conclusion of the Mayan Calendar. Everything from the end of the world, the Rapture and the second coming of Jesus, California dropping into the ocean, and the arrival of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and more, has been predicted. Judgment Day, supposedly an event in which all “chosen ones” move on into the Light, or heaven, and those less righteous ones are left behind to continue their bad behavior and suffer its consequences, is swiftly arriving, we are told.

In some way or another, humanity has always sought ways in which to measure our lives. Down through the Ages, we have sought understanding of our relationship to the Earth, to God, to life itself, and this curiosity has driven both religion and science since the beginning of time. Although we have discovered much, and now stand on the brink of extraordinary breakthroughs in understanding our world, the cosmos, genetics, and physics of creation itself, we have yet to learn how to live peacefully and share the resources of one small planet circling one relatively tiny star in this universe.

        When the original Roman Calendar (literally “Accounting Book”) was devised, the end of each month was the time when debts were paid, and each month was roughly synchronized to start with the arrival of a New Moon nearly every 29 days. September was considered the seventh month, October the eighth, November the ninth and December the tenth. February was considered the last month of the year. Since the Moon cycles every 29.53 days, the month of February alternated between 27 days and 23 days to approximate to a solar year.

Julius Caesar, a Roman emperor, decided to make a “better” calendar, not aligned with the Moon’s cycles, but with months of consistent length, and with the month of February having 28 days consistently, and 29-days for “Leap-years” every 4 years. He named what was considered to be the fifth month at that time (July) after himself in the process. With his new calendar, debts were paid on the first day of each month.

During the Roman Empire, years were numbered in sequence from the founding of Rome, or sometimes according to the reign of Roman emperors. One day, Dionysius, (Dennis the Small), who was a monk living in what has become the 6th century, established the “0 AD, Anno Domini” aligned with what he calculated to be the time of Christ’s birth.  We are presently living in 2012 AD.

In the time of the early Roman dominance, there were many gods and goddesses, and five of the months were named after the deities or feasts honoring them. January, named after Janus, a god with two faces, one looking forward and one looking backward, gradually came to be considered the first month of each New Year.

          In 1592, Pope Gregory’s mathematicians were able to establish that the Julian Calendar was about 11 days out of alignment with solar observations of the Spring Equinox, normally set to be on March 21st when the sun aligns exactly over the earth’s equator. So Pope Gregory set up a new “Gregorian Calendar,” which “skipped” those eleven days altogether. It took some time for his new calendar to be widely accepted outside the Roman Catholic Church, but most of the world uses it today.

To this day, the date for the festival of Easter is calculated each year from a Lunar Calendar, but Christmas has settled in the solar calendar on December 25th, which had a rather bizarre pre-Christian origin as the festival of Saturnalia (December 17-25) that concluded with a human sacrifice.

Within all of this, it is important to remember that the Universe keeps chugging along regardless of how we identify and record its movements, and we have our lives to live, regardless of how time is recorded. Time as we relate to it nowadays is mostly an invention that very loosely accords with natural cycles.

What we are calling the year of 2012 is significant for each of us because the orbit of our little solar system is coming into alignment with what is called the “Dark Rift” in the equator of our rotating Milky Way Galaxy. The timing on this alignment event has been identified to be December 21st, 2012, a date that has also been recorded in the Mayan “Calendar.” The physical alignment of our solar system is not in itself anything that can trigger the “end of the physical world,” but it could trigger the “end of the world as we are accustomed to knowing it!” In Mayan cosmology, the Dark Rift is associated with spiritual awakening.

          If you look back over the past few years, you will most likely appreciate a rapid acceleration in your life….that many of us are living right on the edge of a thin line between pressure and stress. Anything that lives in stress for too long is going to fail, and as long as we associate our lives with time, we are going to be subject to pressure and ultimately stress.

Certainly, some of us are better at handling stress than others, but there are limits. When we align with our spirit nature, we are accepting of, and at peace with everything that happens in our life, because we are “at one” with it. When you learn about, and align your life with the Three Keys of your Human Design, you become aware of life approaching you in an entirely new way. You learn to respond to life according to your own inherent nature, which makes your life work masterfully and artfully well. When you make decisions according to your own Authority, you have the means to find understanding, have full clarification and make sense to your life’s journey. This frees your energy to be used constructively, allowing you to create your life in full alignment with your heart-and-soul truth.

In this remarkable time in history, when the world is changing so rapidly, so many of the bits and pieces of life that we have relied on to steady us in our journey are undergoing shifts into other forms and realities. Your Human Design gives you the means to recognize what has been going on in your life, as well as the means to know how to interact with life and relationships on your own terms, and from your own truth.     In the early 1960′s, Europe was picking itself out of the rubble, deprivation and mess of a second world war. Industry was struggling to rebuild, rationing of food and fuel was gradually waning, and life was moving toward getting “back to normal.”

In cosmic terms, the planets that influence our human psychology were activating Gates within the Human Design Life Chart in very specific ways that lead to the huge impact the Beatles would have on our world culture. Neptune, the planet that relates to our psychic receptivity, dreams and attunement to life through experiencing love, was moving through Gate 43, called “Breakthrough,” and the place within us that gives us penetrating insights into our life’s potential. The “Doors of Perception” blew open. Uranus, the planet of awakening, moving back and forth through Gates 6, Conflict Resolution and 46, Serendipity, ushered in a new awareness of Peace, Presence and Emotional calm. Pluto, the planet of transformation, was hovering in Gate 47, the place where we get huge wake-up calls and realizations that make sense out of our confusion, and Gate 6 where we strive to find ways to express and resolve our differences.

In America, a boom was taking place in many areas of manufacturing and business, and a new level of affluence was becoming commonplace. Black and white television was beginning to replace long-wave (AM) radio by expanding its presence into most households, and advertizing companies had whole new approaches to making their mark in the ways society modeled itself.

In the West, in the music world, Rock and Roll was becoming a new moving force with fame and fortune greeting those who could find a clear outlet and an “image” to go along with their performance. This powerful new force moving in the world culture would change life as we knew it, forever.

The formation of the Beatles came about over a few years. John Lennon and Paul McCartney had met and played music together at a garden fete, a kind of daytime church community party in Liverpool. George Harrison, a school friend of Paul’s joined in at George’s own insistence, and then Ringo Starr, a drummer with “superior” style was hired. “Love Me Do” their first recorded song together as the Beatles came out in 1962, and the rest, as they say, is history… Through their attitudes, humor and style, as much as their lyrics and musical style, they were enthusiastically embraced by a young generation ready for change.

In this and the following articles, we look at the Designs of the four musicians, and also the Design of their manager, Brian Epstein, who combined energies to herald an enormous change in the world’s awareness. Somehow the Beatles hit notes and combined lyrics together that captured the hearts and minds of people involved in an emerging awakening. Never before in the history of the world had so much adulation and in certain quarters, condemnation greeted a band of musicians. Undeniably, a new zeitgeist was born; one which would shape the world in unprecedented ways.

John Lennon, the acknowledged leader of the Beatles, was born on October 9, 1940 in Liverpool into the Incarnation Theme of “Penetration.” As its name implies, this Incarnation Theme gives one the means to access many levels of life from many different vantage points, both for personal evaluation of one’s surroundings, and also as a catalyst for shocking others into a new level of personal awareness. The key to the real intelligence of the Incarnation Theme of Penetration is to hold a personal integrity within oneself and at the same time, see the dramatic effects one can have on others because of what you can see about them and their lives.

In his Design chart, John is an Emotional Generator. (A Generator Type, with Emotional Authority). Generators have a fundamental principle at work in their makeup : they have a Design “to Respond to life from their lower belly,” or Sacral Center. Emotionally defined people have an equally powerful fundamental principle in their life makeup : to wait for emotional, feeling, clarity that can be found, physically in their Solar Plexus region.

Generators will always find frustration when they try to launch themselves into relationships or activities without first appealing to their own sacral response, and in John’s case, without allowing himself the time to reach emotional clarity. He found himself spontaneously remarking on situations that appeared obvious to him but in times and ways that brought animosity from other people who did not appreciate his comments. Inevitably, one of John’s major lessons in his lifetime will have been to cultivate patience, but at the same time stay alert to the present moment. He was once heard to remark that “Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.”

John’s single defined Channel, 6-59, “Connecting, Creating through Intimacy,” gave him the means to give form and birth to all manner of concepts and creations. It is the only Channel in the Life Chart that connects directly between the Sacral, Life-Force energy Center and the Emotions, Solar Plexus Center, our center of emotional energy and awareness. It is an immensely creative and powerful Channel that penetrates into the emotional environment in ways that are impossible to ignore. No one could meet John Lennon and remain unaffected by his presence.

Evident in the rest of his Design chart, is a great openness and empathy, which comes through his undefined (white) centers. There are two possible ways that undefined Centers play out in life : one, is that they can be a source of great wisdom because they can reflect the world back to itself without being attached to any fixed expressions that constrain defined Centers; or, they can become places of conditioning when one absorbs other people’s defined Centers as though it were a part of one’s own makeup, therefore becoming “constrained” to live your life by other people’s ways.

Everyone who has undefined Centers, and particularly like John, with only two Centers out of nine being defined, is often awash in the energies of the lives of everyone around them. With any undefined Centers in your Life Chart, you can either move through those intense energies brought by the people around you in your life, and reflect them back into the world in a modified form, giving them the benefit of your wisdom as they go; or you can become overwhelmed by other people’s energies, absorb them and lose your own sense of identity and purpose in life. At different times, John’s life was an expression of both of these possibilities.

For instance, in John’s chart, at his Throat Center, his voice reflects through the three activations he has there, Gates 12, the 8 and the 31. The wisdom of expressing Gate 12 comes through his linking words and expressions that form specific meanings held by other people in ways that they might not know how to express for themselves. The wisdom of the 8 comes through a barefaced expression of honesty. The wisdom of the 31 expresses in dramatic terms, influencing people toward a positive regard for their future.

The conditionings in these Gates can become apparent when John says things spontaneously without waiting for his Gut Response or Feeling Clarity, that even though they might be exactly true expressions, completely antagonize others, as he would be seen to having “talked out of turn.”

It is quite clear that one remarkable man was able to leave an enduring mark on his world through his own gifts, timing and creativity, but we will come to appreciate that perhaps the greatest part of his genius was sparked through his cooperation with the people around him, particularly his songwriting partner, Paul, and other bandmates and managers.

As she has become a familiar figure around the world, most people can reflect on her beauty, charm and grace, but very few people can actually work out who Princess Catherine really is……and when you see her Human Design, it becomes quite obvious why.

The white diamond Center in the middle of the chart is called the “Self” Center and gives us our sense of purpose, direction and connectedness in life…..and in Catherine’s Life Chart this Center is completely open, implying that she has no “fixed” identity, or, in other words, everyone is going to make of her whoever they want to make of her.  She is all things to all people, and interestingly shares this same characteristic with Prince William’s Grandmother, Queen Elizabeth 11.

Also, Catherine has a 5/1 Profile that typically keeps everyone guessing as to what her intentions might be.  This aspect is true for all people who have the 5/1 Profile, in that they are always at least a couple of steps ahead of everyone else…..so, in Catherine’s case, everyone is trying to second-guess her fashion choices, her diet, her wishes and her thoughts, and I can safely say, she is going to keep everyone, especially the press, guessing for her whole lifetime!

Catherine has defined Mind andCrownCenters, with the nature of someone who does not like to hear untruths, and who in her own way is a natural teacher, sometimes with a teaching style that brings lightening quick comprehension to what she is illustrating.  She has a natural curiosity for every aspect of the world around her and can put people at ease with her gift for storytelling and clear organizing ability.

Her Incarnation theme, one of 112, gives her a lifetime of entering into, and completing cycles.  You might say that she has completely cycled out of her old life, and is now in the cycle of “learning the ropes” and getting ready to take over the role of monarchy when Queen Elizabeth 11 passes that on to Prince William.  Within this Incarnation she senses an urgency to get on and complete things, and at the same time, brings a fresh presence into everything she does.

On the right side of Catherine’s Life Chart is an openEmotionsCenter, which implies that she is not naturally very emotional.  In a position of prominence as she now lives, this can be quite an asset so long as she realizes that the world, as it is, runs on emotions, and that it is her nature to be cool, calm and collected when everyone around her is “losing it!”  In these times of great transformations, this will be a great guiding influence for everyone, and especially for Prince William, who in his Design is quite moody.

With her Generator Design,  we know that she is a bundle of energy, capable of sustaining activity way past the exhaustion point for many others, but her greatest contributions will come when she listens to her instincts and follows her gut response in choosing where to commit her enormous drive.

It can be no easy job living constantly in the limelight, especially after Princess Diana and Fergie, Duchess of York’s royal trials and turmoil, but Princess Catherine has the openness and cool composure to manage this.  I see her being a great encouragement to many people who look to the royal family to reflect example and stature in their own lives. If she is careful in her commitments, she may quietly turn around a perception of the unpleasant aspects of class structures into something much more attractive.

The Shadow Reader
In the course of many years of travel over this wonderful planet, I had the opportunity to experience a variety of readings from people with many different backgrounds. Some readings were simplistic, both in their format and in the information they produced, others were more mysterious and far reaching in their impact. One day, I was inspired to go visit a man who, I was told, would read my shadow. He did not actually read my shadow as it turned out, but he did employ his son, the apprentice, to go with me into the pre-noon sunshine, and measure the length of my shadow. On our return, he made some calculations, which he fine tuned with some astrological data from my birth information and then further fine tuned with some numerology relating to my name. Finally, he rolled his chair along a lengthy bookcase seemingly stuffed with identical tomes, and pulled one out, rolled back to his desk, opened to a page and commenced reading.

My story is told
From the moment the shadow reader started speaking until well after he finished, I was transported into the experience of another realm. It was as though I was quietly watching the description of sounds and images, which were spoken out and kept flashing through my consciousness. The shadow reader related details of my current and other lives, which, before that moment, I would have never imagined possible to relate. There were details of past lives, present life and future lives whose threads I could barely grasp, and yet I knew them to be accurate in their description.
When the reading finished, he looked up with a twinkle in his eye and asked if I had any questions; I was almost struck dumb. What was it he had just related to me? How could he have known every detail of my life? I asked him where the system came from and he told me it had been passed down from father to son for almost 5000 years. Then he asked me if I wanted to come and study with him, for he saw that I had the knack to read. Goodness knows why, but I declined. Never mind, he told me, it was perfectly all right, because sooner or later I would have to read it, or a system like it that would come into my life. His advice to me was to practice with any reading system to get comfortable with the idea of informing people about themselves. It would become a life’s work.
Later that week, I was approached by a psychic palm reader and asked if I would like him to indicate to me a few things about reading a person’s face and hands. In the space of ten minutes he showed me many signs to look for, and then told me that the only real way to learn was to go practice. And so it started. For 15 years I read the hands and faces of anyone who would show them to me, in photos, in person, gesturing on TV, it did not matter. At the same time I studied astrology, the IChing, Tarot, Numerology and everything else, trying to find out what this system was that the shadow reader had talked about.
In 1993, it appeared in my life. It was called Human Design.

The impact of Human Design
When I was introduced to Design in 1993, I knew it was the system I was to learn and begin teaching… the one the shadow reader had predicted would arrive in my life. The recognition was immediate, and I silently thanked the shadow reader for in some way preparing me for the process of learning this new system.
I studied Design intensely, seeking to make sense of all its aspects and integrate it into my life of giving readings for people. Slowly the process of Human Design has been evolving and, personally, I find that in my life many old unconscious patterns have evolved into a more conscious awareness through integrating an understanding of my design.
Over the years since 1993, I have watched my own and my clients’ lives become more and more personally meaningful and relaxed as we have been drawn deeper into respecting, appreciating and loving who we are and how we live our lives. Communications with friends and family have dramatically improved through respecting our natural way of being. Situations, which in the past I would have spent hours and days wondering how I would resolve, have dissipated, leaving space for solutions to appear naturally.
As yet, the Human Design System cannot reach where the shadow reader’s system could in describing past and future lives, but maybe that is not needed, and as an ancient sage in Nepal once told me: “There are many lives, Baba! This one is the most important!” There is no question that Human Design is the tool for this time, because it puts each individual into present tense in their own life : in other words, any individual is equipped, though a simple understanding of their unique Human Design to interact on their own personal terms comfortably with anything that confronts them.

How will you hold your glass?
How will you drink from it?
Who will join you in your experience?

The Life Chart for January 22nd shows great energies that indicate the possibility and need to stand in our personal truth; the truth that we are each individuals in our own right, regardless of any pressures, old beliefs or arguments to the contrary.

Standing in one’s truth means :
Holding the vision that expands the well-being our life and the life of mankind.
Honoring the timing of nature, especially if that means expecting the unexpected, and to rest when there is no point in being active.
Being open-minded in experiencing whatever unfolds before us.
We are entering into the times we have dreamed of, where the resurgence of consciousness, creativity, wealth and well-being begin to expand.
It is time to be aware of our fears, to see them for what they are, and step out boldly into the experience of our lives.

Whether we are aware of what is going on in our Universe or not, it can be said that we are moving into the Age of Aquarius because of the way the Earth is lining up relative to the starfields around our solar system. We are being affected by different streams of energy entering our solar system, and so our consciousness is affected too.

Humanity, or at least, consciousness in human form, is quietly coming of age.

In our solar system, the planet that is associated with Aquarius is Uranus, a giant gas planet that orbits end over end (over its north and south poles) at some 1.78 billion miles from earth. It orbits our earth every 84 years, affecting our lives particularly when we reach around 38-42 years old, when Uranus is opposite in the sky to where it was when we were born. At that time in life we may decide that either we are having a “mid-life crisis” or that “life begins at 40,” because our whole perspective in life changes.

If you look at the placement of Uranus in your Human Design Life Chart, it will describe an area of your life that gives you and others around you “wake up calls” from time to time.

At this time, Uranus has moved on from where it was in your Human Design at your birth and is presently in Gate 25, moving towards Gate 36 for the last time in 84 years, before reentering Gate 25 for most of 2011 and the early part of 2012.

In Human Design, Gate 25 represents our Innocence, our Trust in Life and our Pure Nature. Gate 36 is the Gate of Crisis Resolution that relates to times when we are confronted with a new experience, that concludes with the resolution to move from darkness to light.

For the whole world, the past months and years, we may have wondered if we are ever going to grow up as a planet. We are confronted with devastating situations and breakdowns in our ways of seeing things, and right now, are having to learn new codes of conduct and redefine the way we live our lives.

In the coming years, as Uranus moves through Gate 25, our Innocence is going to be given a number of “wake up” calls to help us redefine what is important to us.

Are we just going to keep on living through worn out lifestyles, or are we going to change with the times? It has never been more important to ask ourselves the vital question : “Am I living my Human Design?”

Human Design, Discover the Person You Were Born To Be

“The times, they are a changin’” in more ways than we can keep track of, and yet, we may appreciate that we are here to take part in one of the most exciting ages of transformation that has ever happened.

Last month, I wrote about the ways in which our desires are being triggered.  We discussed how important it is to find our own clarity to dive with totality into an experience, to have it and complete it, rather than dither and never actually feel fulfilled.

Now, we look at how Pluto is interacting in our lives, transforming how we see the world, and compelling us to reexamine our habits and attitudes.

When I think of Pluto, I think of a gardener who goes into the garden, pulls everything out by the roots, and then replants what he considers wholesome and worthwhile, giving it space to prosper and grow without the competition of weeds and soil-depleting plants.

Toward the end of 2007, Pluto entered into Gate 10, Behaviors, and proceeded to question, uproot and redirect erratic and ill-planned activities like military invasions, sub-prime mortgages and other unsustainable banking practices and political irresponsibilities, affecting billions of people around the world, directly or indirectly.

In mid-January, 2010, Pluto entered Gate 58, Joyous Vitality, for the first time since 1766, when the British (God bless them) were causing distress in America, by among other things, enforcing the “Sugar Act,” the “Currency Act,” the “Stamp Act” and the “Quartering Act,” sowing the seeds for the American Revolution, and the birth of a nation for people with “unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

At this time, worldwide, we are being called on to reexamine our “unalienable rights,” and to reevaluate what it is in our life that gives us a clear sense of “Joyous Vitality.”  What is it that gives us the “vital spark,” the “love for life,” the urge to be the masters of our own lives?

The massive changes that have been taking place recently, including political and financial meltdowns, earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, oil disasters and scientific breakthroughs like the creating new life forms, are drawing our attention toward what is essential for us in our lives.

So, what is essential?  What brings joy and makes life worth living?

You will come to appreciate that being authentic and true to your own nature is the essential feature of your life.  Although we interact with many people and influences, none of us came here to be anyone other than our self.  Human Design and the Three Keys, assist you at any time to be authentic in your own life, and true to your own nature.

Accessing your own nature puts you in tune with your life in the context of world around you.  Fulfillment comes when you find the flexibility, tolerance and love to interact gracefully, clearly and authentically with everyone and everything that confronts you. You derive fulfillment whenever you resonate with life, and life resonates within you.

I encourage you to discover more about yourself and utilize your Human Design as a simple “self-remembering” tool that can guide you perfectly, on your own terms, through these amazing times.

Pluto is giving us all a wake-up call and will continue to do so into 2014. We are entering into the age of the Individual, and the Individual always stands in a majority of one, in love with life, and true to his or her own nature, amidst all interactions.  This authentic referencing to our own truth is the only thing that brings lasting fulfillment.

Desires come in many forms, shapes and sizes but mostly they are associated with our having direct experiences in life. Desires can involve sex, food, drugs, sports, relationships, fun, excitement, gambling and all of life’s ups and downs. If we honestly examine the nature of our desires we find that they are mostly impersonal, we just crave an experience. The question for us each is, does living out any particular desire bring true fulfillment or not?

Since the end of December 2009 and until February 12th, 2012, the outer planet Neptune is moving back and forth through Gate 30, the Gate of Desires, continuing its effect on us all until May 5th, 2012.

The nature of the planet Neptune might declare something like : “I love you because you are you, and offer you the freedom to do anything.” It is visionary, psychic and attuned to the mystical realm. During the time Neptune is in Gate 30, among other things, we shall see the development of a cornucopia of new ideals for humanity and the betterment of our planet.

As Neptune passes through Gate 30, we are all going to have a heightened sense of being offered an array of experiences that can either increase or decrease our sense of fulfillment in life. So, the question arises, how to enter into any experience in a way that brings us fulfillment?

Desires can be lived out in two different ways : Hesitation or Totality.

Hesitation comes when you are not entirely clear that a desire is either allowed or likely to be fulfilling. It is like tip-toeing into a fire and then standing with one foot in and one foot out, eventually becoming consumed by the fire/desire and never really experiencing it.

Totality comes when we are 100% certain that we will engage with an experience. With complete clarity, we dive into the fire/desire, experience it with our whole being and come out the other side, perhaps slightly singed, but satisfied, completed, and no longer hankering for that particular experience.

If you have Gate 30 activated in your Life Chart, it is going to be accentuated in the next couple of years by Neptune’s presence, giving you an extra requirement to be really clear in what you seek to experience.

If you don’t have Gate 30 activated in your Life Chart then you can expect some interesting fantasies and possibilities to be offered to you.

We live in an emotional world these days and yet for the most part we are often struggling to understand how emotions affect us and how we can embrace them in healthy ways.

In Human Design we see the Emotions Center as the pleasure center, but also, potentially the “pain” center. It is the Center of sex, food, addictions, digestion, breathing, desires, delight, despair and our spiritedness. It is where we come to experience all the highs and lows of life that we feel inside ourselves through what we can loosely describe as ‘wave patterns.’

Some emotional waves are easy to ride or surf. Other waves throw us completely.

The old saying of “what goes up has to go down” is completely true for the Emotions Center. So, for as much as we engage with pleasure when we go up, we have the possibility of having an equal measure of experiencing pain as our wave goes down.

You might say that if we know pain is part of experiencing Emotions, then why bother seeking out pleasure at all? And here is perhaps one of the greatest puzzles that exist….that with a little understanding of your Human Design Chart can be clarified :
The secret to handling Emotions is : not getting attached to outcomes. “Oh, it is going to be so great when……!” or, “I cannot cope with the feeling that I will get when…..!”

Focusing on an outcome brings tension, anxiety and shortness of breath which in turn brings a decrease in clarity about our surrounding circumstances. Take a deep breath and feel, from your belly, into the situation confronting you. Witness it as dispassionately as you can.

If you have defined Emotions in your chart (the Emotions Center is colored brown), you are constantly cycling through emotional highs and lows, whether you are aware of it or not. Embrace the cycle because it is your nature. Consider the timeless phrase of wisdom : “This too will pass!” You have Emotional Authority. Find the Emotional Clarity within you that has little or nothing to do with an outcome but more to do with your ongoing journey through life.

If you have undefined Emotions in your chart (the Emotions Center is colored white and with at least one Gate in that Center colored black or pink or striped black and pink), then you are constantly cycling through the emotional waves produced by other people. By paying attention to your own Authority it will tell you whether you are clear to commit to any experience or not.

If you have open Emotions in your chart (the Emotions Center is colored white and no Gates in that center are colored) then you are susceptible to ignoring Emotion altogether as being too crazy (“What’s all the fuss about?”) and can appear a little cool to everyone else. Or, you can be thrown for a loop whenever you are confronted in situations where people become overly emotional, either excited or depressed. Again, trust you own perfect Authority to tell you whether any experience is appropriate for you or not in any given moment.

Remember, we are all here to live our own personal lives, becoming more and more aware of the effects that we have on ourselves for the choices we make for ourselves. Riding waves of emotion, all the highs and lows that life offers us, can be great fun and wonderfully fulfilling if we remain clear in ourselves and trust in our own perfect way through life according to our own Human Design.
